Asbestos is a carcinogen for human beings. This is a well-known fact through the help of extensive research into the substance.
Between the 1930s and the 1980s, the material was taken by builders and constructionists with both hands. It was widely used in a range of materials that were used in houses. Some of the materials can be detailed as:
- Ceilings
- Boiler’s flue
- Pipes
- Walls
- Floor tiles
Apart from this, there were also several other materials that used asbestos in them due to their fire retardant and thermal insulation properties. Today, if you intend to renovate your house or office building, the asbestos removal process is of utmost importance.
Firstly, asbestos is a highly hazardous substance. Secondly, Asbestos removal has been a legal requirement since the time it was banned by the UK government in 1990.
Now, the best way to go about this is to hire an experienced and licensed asbestos removal contractor so that you not only act lawfully but also proceed in a way that does not harm the health of your neighbors and family members.
