Asbestos, primarily, is not harmful in its pure form when it is left undisturbed on its own. It is a silicate with plenty of tiny fibers interwoven that lead to the use of asbestos as fire-retardant material as well as a material to be used for insulation purposes.
Because of this, a lot of people in Aveley and even in the entire UK used asbestos while constructing their houses. People used it in the walls insulation, pipes, tiles, flooring, furnaces, attic, and many other places.
However, now, it is extremely important to remove this once very beneficial-looking substance.
John Brickwork recommends you don’t delay this as it is a serious matter and cannot be put on a hold
Why?
-
The Health and safety of your neighbour’s, your family and you
The fibres of asbestos silicate are extremely tiny and once they are inhaled by a human being, they can damage the lungs lining as well as lungs tissues. It can lead to the creation of scars on the lungs and that can, in turn, lead to breathing issues, lung cancer, and in the most severe cases it can result in cardiac failure.
The dangerous fibres of the asbestos silicate harm kids, young and old people equally. No one is secure from the hazards of asbestos once exposure is made.
John’s Brickwork suggests that one must never wait for the health issues to be abrupt as a call for action. Instead, you must be proactive in this respect and call for an asbestos inspection immediately especially if your house or office building was constructed in the 1980s or before it.
-
Directions by Law
Apart from the health hazards, in the UK, you are bound by the laws to have the asbestos removal process in place if you want to renovate, demolish or rebuild your house or office building. Asbestos has been officially banned in the UK since 1990.
